Bodypainting : 1st place at the World BodyPainting Festival 2008

Every year the world’s leading body artists gather at the World Body Painting
Festival to compete for the coveted title of World Champion. The competition takes
place over three days and 2008 saw 200 artists from more than forty countries paint
their models in a series of themes chosen by the championship organisers.
This year, artists were given the themes “Science - World of Wonders” and “Asia - Empires going - Empires growing”
and had to create a unique design to impress a panel of experienced international judges.

The judges award points to each artist based on the originality of their
interpretation of the theme, the painting techniques used, choice of colours and the
degree of complexity of realising their design.
Points from each days painting are accumulated for each artist’s final score.

This years competition was held during the 18th - 20th of July 2008
and I painted with an amazing artist from the USA...Nick Herrera!!
Who I plan to do many more events with in the near future!!!.
After 6 hours of painting on Day 1 of the competition, We were thrilled to be in first place.
The pressure was really on for the Final Day and after another 6 hours of painting we fought off
tough opposition from around the world to maintain our First place position.
And in the end we dominated the catagory with sheer madness and shattered nervs!! LOL!...
Without Nick's help and talent It would have been a tougher competition to accomplish...He made it tons of fun
The man has some serious talent!!

their models in a series of themes chosen by the championship organisers.
This year, artists were given the themes “The Year 2525” and “Chaos and Control”
and had to create a unique design to impress a panel of experienced international judges.

The judges award points to each artist based on the originality of their
interpretation of the theme, the painting techniques used, choice of colours and the
degree of complexity of realising their design.
Points from each days painting are accumulated for each artist’s final score.

This years competition was held during the 20th - 22nd of July 2007 and I painted alone.
After 6 hours of painting on Day 1 of the competition, I was thrilled to be in third place.
The pressure was really on for the Final Day and after another 6 hours of painting I fought off
tough opposition from around the world to maintain my third place.
Only two teams of artists beat me for the top two positions...

Body Painting : Elise / Deborah Levys Epstein / Kathy Slamen / Debale Angel 2006

This new body painting session was a collaboration with Deborah... My new artist friend from Brasil. She flew all the way from Brasil to learn and work with me!
This was the first time that I collaborated with another artist on the same model..
Deborah designed the actual artwork and I added some of my freaky touch to it.
This was also a test shoot for some new ideas! It really came out so amazing and so different than anything I would normally do...
It really was a fantastic collaboration!
Elise is one of my favorite models that I love working with... She is so professional and demanding...She will work the idea and make the damm thing perfect.

Body Painting : Sonia / Kathy Slamen / Rebirth 2006

This new body painting session with Sonia and kathy was something dark! I guess Kathy and I were feeling that way at the time we created and shot it.
This was also a test shoot for some new ideas! It really came out so sensual and erotic but wierd at the same time...It really rocks!
Sonia is one hot model and very professional when it came down to the whole thing!

Body Painting : Gaelle / Kathy Slamen / Ice Queen 2006

This is a new body painting session with Gaelle Mouster...she is the chef editor of ExceptioNail Beauty magazine..she is also a great make-up and bodypainting artist.

This is her first time as a model and yes she was pregnant for this shoot. Kathy is one of my best friends she shot this session.I love working with her...

Alain the man was back to do his miracle work as usual on the hair... Fantastic hairdoo!!
